“I booked this room Monday this week, but wasn't able to make it due to bad weather. The owner was super accommodating, understanding, fair and very customer service oriented. He worked with me and I was able to book another date, no overcharging. Fast responses to email communication, bilingual and very professional and humble owner ( a very rare trait nowadays with the times we live in). The house itself is a humble abode, a nice brick old home with modernized interior, however super clean and the attendant there was very courteous, respectful and helpful. I highly recommend it and when visiting or passing through trois pistoles, I will definitely be renting again from him. I loved my experience and it helped ease the tension from the long drive, plus? Fast wifi too!!”

“I conducted a 2-day driving excursion moving from Halifax back to Ontario, I knew I would have to stay somewhere in Quebec on my way, and I sought to avoid the poor experience I had previously had in Degelis. NATURE from a quick scan on google maps not only provided the cheapest solution to having to stay somewhere overnight, it also provided me with an interesting driving route compared to the usual major highways that did not involve dipping down into the US. This was an amazing experience. Previously my experience of driving through Quebec had almost always exclusively been negative and for good reason, (I dipped into Montreal proper for lunch the next day and that was maybe the biggest mistake of my life), the scenery in and around Pohénégamook is picturesque, fields of green grass and hills of lush forestry reminded me of the greenery in Cork, Ireland. I was marvelled at this natural treasure that Canada had kept so well hidden. The Auberge is situated on a dirt road that shares its location with the houses of the locals that live on the shore of the Pohenegamook lake, the location does not have a traditional pavement parking lot but is more simply a large field with many spaces. When I went in, I met the owner and what can I say other than that she is an incredibly kind soul, extremely accomodating and helpful to a simple traveller such as myself. She pointed me to where I could go for a nice dinner before retiring for the night, and the recommendation was spectacular. The rooms were clean with nice furnishings and light fixtures, their is a fantastic A/C unit making the experience very personalized which is essential to staying somewhere away from home. In the morning there was a simple breakfast prepared that I was able to take parts of for the road. Unfotunately I cannot attest to any of the Spa amenities, however, it is my recommendation that if you want to see a unique part of the country untouched by the urban sprawl, and you happen to find yourself driving from east to west or vice-versa, consider stopping here for a night and enjoy the splendours of NATURE and Pohénégamook which showcase the best of Quebec.”

“My wife and I stayed here with our Bernese Mountain dog in August 2022 for a night. Very welcoming owners, with nice touches of snacks and even extra kibble in a bowl for our dog. The room was sparse but had everything one would need: bed, night table, desk, closet, towels, etc. And the breakfast in the office was a nice way to kick off the next day.”

“I reserved cabin 2 about five months in advance and had confirmation of cabin 2 from this establishment. Upon arrival I was told my group is in cabin 7. How odd, but they are all the same apparently. Upon getting to cabin 7 there is obviously someone already using it. Going back to the office they are confused but finally determine the person(s) in 7 should be in 6 but then give me cabin 6. OK, I guess. We are five people but the cabin only has towels for two. A cellphone call to the office gets us the additional towels brought up to the cabin. The phone in the cabin does not work so I could not call their office using it. The WiFi in the cabin does not work. We could not connect at all. The young lady that brought us our towels could not figure it out. So now working phone or WiFi. It is disappointing to not have everything working properly when you check in to an accommodation. In addition to all that the pool was not functioning properly due to a broken pool liner and could not be used but we were told the kiddie pool was open. We had told my grandson we were taking him for a swim so that could work out. Wrong! Even kiddie pool closed by 4:30pm, this was quite disappointing. The rest of the cabin was good, clean, and pretty well equipped. Unfortunately I cannot give more than a three rating for these cabins and this place. If I had booked more than one night for a family vacation my disappointment would have been immense.”

“Great campground! Clean washrooms and showers. The staff work really hard to keep the place sparkling clean. Lovely sites for our tent-trailer. Many activities to do with kids (swim, splash pad, basketball, croquet (all included with camping)and mini-putt (extra cost). Close to the ferry and easy access to groceries. We really enjoyed our stay.”
