Lovely folks that run a clean, quiet, restful camping park with beautiful view experience for weary travelers and those wanting to stay awhile.
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful peaceful campground for 5 nights. The bathrooms are very clean, sites are spaced out nicely and the views of the trees and river are great. There are wonderful gardens on the grounds also. The owners are friendly, kind and ensure a quiet stay for their guests. They are retiring after this season so you better get there before the season ends!
The owner was pleasant and welcoming once he arrived in the office. We had to wait a few minutes, because he was out working on the grounds.
The campground sits on the side of a hill, with several terraces, each having a few campsites. The campground is best for smaller rigs and tents. Lots of lovely flowers are planted on each terrace, so that may explain why dogs are not welcome.
Fun metal sculptures designate which side of the bathhouse are for which sex. The bathhouses were clean, had good showers, and shared a common laundry room.
Our site had good views of the St Lawrence river. We could relax in the van and watch freighters passing by in the distance. We would definitely stay here again.
Spectacular views. Most of the sites were up on platforms so most sites had gorgeous views of the St. Lawrence The owners were incredibly helpful and nice. They spoke perfect English. The bathrooms were extremely clean with hot water.
My family and I were on vacation and we decided to drive from our home just outside of Toronto, to PEI, and then back. On our way back West we caught the last ferry from Riviere Du Loup and we arrived here with about 20 minutes to spare before the office was closed. The owner was very helpful and accommodating and offered us a selection of sites to choose from, we were lucky enough to arrive on an evening when one of the best sites was still available. The site was large, private, and grassy, with a stunning view of the St. Lawrence. We caught the sunrise, enjoyed the available amenities, and were off to continue our journey. Our experience was beyond what we had experienced thus far on our trip and has ensured that we will stop here again. Though next time we will be sure to have cash on us, as they do not take card payment. The site was number 36 by the way.
