“I tried once the Sylvan Adams YM-YWHA, especially the Ben Weider Gym and the pool, and I would say that the gym is big, well equipped, peaceful and clean. Then, both the cloakroom and the showers are neat. In addition, there is free shampoo, shower gel, and hair dryer. Finally, the pool is quite big and deep and the water was very hot, so it was nice to swim there. Despite this, the cons are that at the entrance all backpacks and bags are checked and I did not like that, some staff members are not really competent, and finally, the majority of the gym's guests were older than me, it was not Jurassic Park but almost, and that was not very motivating.”

“This is a very affordable gym, a 12-month membership comes out to roughly $30/month (payable in bi-annual instalments). I've been going here for three years and mainly use the gym (I don't attend the martial arts classes). They have all new Atlas equipment (including a power cage!!) and multiple cardio machines. The pictures on the website are dated and don't show the upgraded equipment. It's rarely crowded and I almost never have to wait to use equipment. The gym staff are very friendly and helpful. As an added bonus it's above a grocery store, convenient if you get hungry after your workout!”

“What a fun place to exercise. The atmosphere is welcoming and the place is spotlessly clean. The sessions have a good variety and are so well well run. I have been searching fro years to find a place like this!”

“The Oxford dictionary defines a sanctuary as being a place of refuge and rest, especially for endangered, rare and exotic animals. There, they are cared for, treated with the love, equality and dignity they were intended to deserve. Midtown Sanctuary is exactly that for me. It is not only a wellness haven for humanity, but a community of unified individuals who have all chosen to live Life instead of merely existing.”
