El Gordo was a lovely place to dine at with chatty staff members and a lovely ambiance. From the brunch menu to the drinks everything was packed with amazing options. It serves a delicious brunch that keeps you full but not stuffed and their vegetarian options were not only flavourful but very appealing. I’d recommend, Portobello to any of my fellow vegetarians. It’s a great place for a subtle family outing and a definitive rebook for a good way to start the day with some spice on a lazy afternoon.
Great tacos in the heart of little burgundy! Fairly priced compared to other taco places. Their tacos are big enough to fill you up. Staff is friendly and restaurant clean. Would come back!
Nachos were okay but probably would have been better with sour cream on the side. Tacos were good but lacked flavour. Hot sauce might have elevated the experience. Service was okay. The table next to us came long after us and left before us even though they had the same food items. But still good

The food was just perfect and there is nothing bad to say about it. If you are a fan of Mexican food, you will love it.
I can't even tell you what what were my favorites since everything was great. On the other hand, the portobello tacos were from another world and you absolutely have to try them.
This is a contemporary Mexican restaurant at the heart of little burgundy. Great location with outdoor dining (terrace) when available. We had 4 dishes. The chips and guac, fried calamari, chorizo tacos and quesadilla. The guacamole was outstanding, the calamari was fantastic, one of the best in the city, the chorizo tacos were a dud, overcooked and dry with an oily base. The quesadilla had to much tortilla for the ingredients. Service was good. I found that the food did not have authentic Mexican flavors, but would return for 5à7 for the dynamite squid and guac.
