This is my favourite café in downtown! They have excellent coffee, and the size of their cup is perfect for maintaining the hotness. Also, they can absolutely manage the foam! The atmosphere is elegant and cozy. As an Interior Designer I must add that they used the space very well to place different types of seating. I certainly recommend!
Nice little place for a good cup of beverage. We were in the area to watch a movie and had some time to kill and this place is just behind the Forum. We went for a Hot Chocolate with Soy Milk. They have a few other non-dairy options. But they could have some more vegan options to eat. We went for this power ball made of sesame, apricot, dates, covered with scraped coconut. It was good.
The staff is good and friendly.
Definitely recommended!!
Shaugnessy is known and loved by everyone in Westmount. I would go weekly when I was studying downtown. The drinks are excellent quality. A small menu of baked goods and breakfast items. There is also merch and coffee-making accessories (mugs, aeropress, etc). The cost is quite pricey. The service is quick and friendly. Seasonal outdoor seating available. The cafe makes environmental-forward decisions. There is always a good playlist playing at the perfect volume. This is a great place to study or go on a coffee date.
Visited this café a lot when I was living around the corner and never miss to try their coffee when I am in downtown . It's a must visit café if you are in downtown. Super cute café with a nice and cozy vibe.
It's nice to have this cafe here, as there are no other specialty cafes around here. The coffee is always good and pastries are tasty. It's too bad, that some of the staff is a bit rude, and that kinda ruins the overall experience.
