Other than that, I have nothing but praise for the staff and services!
My husband, Dominik, was admitted to St. Margaret's Residence in December, 2011. He died there after a hip fracture, in May, 2012. Dominik had advanced Alzheimer's, and was not always easy to care for. I was impressed with the physical design of the residence--each person has a single room (shared bath, but, in Dominik's case, the other person never used the bathroom. The atmosphere is very up-beat, sunny, cheerful, and the staff quickly got to know Dominik and his personality. His main PAB (caregiver) was outstanding, with a great sense of humour and immense humanity. He was always treated with respect and kindness.Their goal is to make the resident feel respected, and as much at home as possible. Cleaners, food staff, the Doctor, nurses, aides, recreation staff, and volunteers all contribute to making this residence excellent . I have no hesitation in recommending it.
