1608 Bar

If you’re looking for specialty cocktails this is your bar! Located inside the Fairmont Château Frontenac, its sleek modern atmosphere, trained mixologist, and friendly customer service, you can expect an amazing experience. I recommend going earlier as they do not take reservations and seating is limited.

Not only is the bar located in likely the most iconic hotel in Canada but the decor, ambience and cocktail menu in the 1608 Bar are incredible. Jeremie the creator of the cocktail menu has created magic, make sure to try the Espresso Martinez!

One of the best bars I’ve been to. The cocktails are on par with some of the best bars in the world.

Book early & try getting a spot close to the windows, overlooking the river.

The drinks are strong & the cheese boards are all made from local ingredients from around the area.

We went to the 1608 Bar while staying at Fairmont Chateau Frontenac in March, 2022. We have stayed at other Fairmont Hotels across Canada and have tried out the various bars at the hotels.

1608 Bar is rich in history, has a unique and cool ambience to it.

The drink menu wasn't incredibly large and most of the drinks were on the higher side. It's too bad you couldn't really order food here (light snacks)

Usually the bars at these hotels offer comp. snacks ie. popcorn etc. and I don't recall being offered any of this.

It was still nice to check out and enjoy a drink here.

Our server was pleasant, took the time to go over the various drinks with us, and made suggestions on what we should try.

Great experience. Service is attentive and nice, drinks are good and the team there works really hard. Great job!
