I am absolutely enamoured with this restaurant! The French cuisine was absolutely out of this world delicious, so delicious, in fact, my husband and I couldn't resist going two days in a row. We tried the escargot, French onion soup, and poutine on night one, all of which were phenomenal. My husband could not stop talking about the soup (I think he might love it more than he loves me!), so of course he had to order more on night two, along with French fries which were perfectly cooked, and the eggplant gratin which is a revelation. To say this is the perfect place for comfort food after a night on the slopes is an understatement! Absolutely worth crossing the border for!!!
We were warmly welcomed, there were jukebox tunes playing, the soup was hot and tasty, the food was delicious and the portions generous, and the beer was excellent.
3 stars because the owner is very lind and the service is good. It is a pub thay serves food, not a restaurant. I did not like the food and their own beer. They have good beers available of you dont like theirs.
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The Lagablond beer was delicious (light with a crisp, clean finish). There is a good variety of appetizers, including baked brie, salads, and of course poutine. I was impressed with their specials list and ordered multiple things from there. We shared the filet mignon poutine as an app, and I had the veal scallopini for my entree. The fries on the poutine were perfectly golden and crispy with just the right ratio of gravy to cheese curds. Both the filet and veal were incredibly tender and cooked to perfection.
The special of the week was delicious. Pizza w shrimp and scallops w lemon and dill sauce and the farfell pasta w chicken mexican flavors w Cilantro and great ceasar salad and escargot
