“I camped here many times in the past, and camped here when it opened for the first time a few years back. Since then it seems that there has been a slight decline at this campground. I just ended another camping trip there this week btw. I got the impression that there is way less staff than previous years. There is nobody on staff that stays at the campground at night, nor any patrols of the grounds by them at night. If there were I did not see them nor would anyone know where to go to find them if in need of aid. If my memory serves me well, there use to be more toilets in the past in the men's washroom. Now there are only 2, not enough for a campground with roughly 40 lots! It seems that they did install an outhouse, but for the price people pay to camp here that is not satisfactory compared to other Sepag parks. The overall cleanliness of the bathrooms are "ok" but aren't kept up as often as they use to be. I was informed that there is a shower stall within the woman's bathroom that only has a curtain on it and no door. So what has happened to this place since it has opened a few years ago? I have been to many Sepaq parks, yearly, and have not once heard of a shower stall with a curtain for the changing room instead of a door. I am sure the park can afford to fix or install a new door. There also seems to be a circular round object the size of a quarter located on the ceiling right in front of each shower in the changing rooms, within both the men's and women's bathrooms. In the middle of the black object there seems to be transparent circular dot which resembles a pinhole camera. When I inquired at the front desk about it the employee didn't know they were there and had no clue what they were. I told them that they should put a sign within each shower stall informing campers on what it is, I was not the only person who thought that. It looked like another camper tried pulling up one of the ceiling tiles to see what was behind it. Either change the device, for whatever purpose it is there for, for something that doesn't resemble a pinhole camera, or put them somewhere else located outside of the shower stalls. If not, put up a sign as I stated earlier. We live in the 21st century, spy cameras are a reality now! If I owned an establishment with public showers I would have "never" installed something that "resembles" a pinhole camera within the stalls, and would have made a better choice. It's a good place for hiking but not a great park for biking! The bike trail within the park in only 4km and you need a mountain bike, not a hybrid like they state on their website. The path is not made for hybrids. Don't go there expecting to get Mont Orford's Sepaq park. This is a new born campground and park, still growing to reach its maturity. Your options are limited for activities. There seems to be way more people camping there with campers and camper trailers than there use to be in the past, way more!!! On a positive note, the area is beautiful. They do provide WiFi at the main building. Would I continue going back? Sure! But I think it would be nice to see Sepaq expand their campgrounds at Mont Megantic, as well as building real bike trails and maybe other additions to this park. With all the kids that go there, build an outdoor swimming pool too and watch the money pour in! This place has a lot of potential to grow but it seems not much has progressed since they opened. Overall it's a nice park and seems to have grown a lot in popularity. And btw, their campfire wood is excellent! If you camp at Franceville you'll have admission to access, by car or hiking, Mont Megantic's observatory and Mont St Joseph, which is located on the other side of the park. It takes about 20 minute to drive there from the campground. Now one can access the mountain all day until sunset by car, unlike in the past where you had to come down before 11am.”

“This is a lovely well maintained park. It's history dates back to the 1800's. This park was donated to the town by the once prominent Pope family of Bury. The park has a brand new water park for the kids. The park also has a brand new gazebo. The gazebo was a rebuild of an old gazebo that used to be there years ago. The park also boast a new hockey rink base as well a ball field. This park is host to one of the largest and oldest running Canada day celebrations in the province.”
