King Mountain Trail

“Very beautiful hike to do in October when the leaves are changing. Is a great way to experience Gatineau's beautiful fall colours! Very nice view from the top, however very crowded with people. There is stairs at the last 500m of the hike that were slightly challenging. The rest of the hike is pretty rocky, so I appreciated having worn my hiking boots. Can easily so the hike from the main parking lot in an hour, we hiked from the penguin picnic area due to lack of parking at the main entrance and enjoyed a beautiful 3 hr hike! Would recommend!”

“Perfect little loop trail for all skill levels. At about 1.8 kms, you can walk this in about 20 min. Great for cross county skiing and snowshoeing in the winter (the main trail is groomed). There are also places nearby where you can rent equipment, plus great restaurants and coffee shops across the street to sit back, relax and warm up after (or cool off with icecream).”
