Domaine Lausanne

We visited this campground twice this season, early July and October. Beautiful scenery and a nice beach, we also appreciated the easy access to the bike path, the hiking trail and calm atmosphere. Unfortunately, the attitude of the workers (especially at the reception) is less than professional: No smiles, they bark their rules at you and rush you in (at a time when it was quiet). The roads are full of deep holes that fill up with water when it rains and take days to drain/evaporate. The same holes were there on both visits (months apart) so no real effort was made to fix them. Overall cleanliness of the washrooms was mediocre and should have been more frequent considering that many guests need to use the same facilities (rentals don’t have washrooms, many campers don’t have toilets).

Considering their already high rate (we were on a 2-service waterfront site), charging $20 to change a reservation date over the phone, $10 for a small bag of wood and $5/night for a dog on top of their already high rates doesn’t make this a place we are likely to return to very often. We will research better options in the Laurentians for the future.

A little noisy close to the highway but some very nice sites; great spot for the kids. Cute little cabins up in the woods and on the lake.

Nice place but expensive they boost up the price of wood if u wanna fish u can only buy the permit when the office opens and at nine it’s late for fishing and u can only buy the permit each day not pay in advance if ur staying for three days one fishing permit a day and at office open hours !!!! Well planned out !!!
