“We had a wonderful nine day stay. Daniel, our host, was there to welcome us when we arrived. He provided us a tour of the house and made a number of recommendations for places to visit on the island and in the city. Daniel was very accommodating and available as needed during our stay. He checked in with us occasionally to see if we needed anything or had any questions. The house has a full kitchen with both gas and electric stove. The upstairs bedroom has an enormous bathroom complete with a claw foot tub and a separate shower. Additionally, the upstairs bedroom opens onto an upper level porch overlooking the river. My favorite feature was the fire pit in the back yard. While we didn’t have any fires, it was very relaxing to sit back in the chairs and enjoy the view. If you are flying into Quebec, you will need a rental car, as the house is located on an island. The house is conveniently located, making it ideal for day excursions and returning for a quick rest before going out to dinner. The travel time into Old Quebec City is approximately 25 minutes.”

“This place was very nice. We were told to visit the island and on our drive we saw this place. My wife loves hard cider so we stopped in. The staff were very nice and friendly. They were able to communicate with us in English when they going out where we were from. We tried the shooters if cider and tasted each one. We also bought some mustard, potato chips and a baguette. We tasted all of our items while overlooking an apple orchard and looking out on the river. It was a nice afternoon”

“This is easily one of our favorite restaurants in Quebec city. My wife does not eat lamb due to the flavor from poor quality meat or bad cooking. However, when she tasted my roast lamb, she pretty much ate out of my plate. There was an event going on during our visit and we were taken to another quiet dinning area. The building itself is fairly old but it is well kept. The sugar pie is fantastic but man, the maple pudding cake is to die for. When you can't decide what to order, ask the waiter, we took his suggestion and we had a lovely meal.”
