Nice place..for sure you feel better after visiting it.
Great food and spa. Great for some chill-out time.
Loved the place. The food was great, the service was polite and professional, the rooms are comfortable, the spa and massages were on par. Of course, it is on the expensive side, but a real treat.
I definitely recommend going.
Un vrai petit bijou !
The spa is located in a picturesque setting about an hour from Montreal. You can spend an hour, a day, a week or more replenishing your spirit in this Zen environment.
I reserved our spots two weeks ahead. We went on a Tuesday. There were few people and it was very enjoyable to have lots of space. We arrived and were treated immediately greeted. Once checked in, we went to get our bathrobe and towels. The change rooms are large. The showers are furnished with soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is also hair blowers.
I enjoyed the variety of saunas, whirlpools and cooler temperature baths. My favorite was the Finnish sauna. There was a bucket with a spoon to pour water in the hot rocks.
They have a very cold bath. You can immerse your whole body, just your legs or just your forearms. It is part of a special cold hot treatment to revitalize the body. It's very very cold. Be careful if you have low blood pressure. I felt dizzy.
Drink water!!! Detoxing is about flushing the system. They have cups with cold water as well as lemon water. One cup every time you exit a hotroom. Dehydration causes headaches and nausea.
There was plenty of room outdoors to sit and enjoy the relaxing scenery. Lots of lounge chairs, sunbeds and a warm fireplace.
I took out the rowboat and had fun going around the pond. There were huge frogs!!!! (said the Raniphobiac).
We had an absolutely fabulous lunch in the restaurant. They had a buffet of salad and soup. The main dishes were well sized but not overly filling.
I ate the calf steak with vegetables. It was well seasoned and cooked to a great texture.
I didn't get the opportunity to use the walking trails but my friend did and enjoyed the nature and quiet. Bring sturdy shoes and water.
The prices are reasonable-ish... It's definitely an expensive day but I think thought it reasonable for the services received.
