“Absolutely loved this place. Staff at check in were polite, friendly and explained everything clearly. Stayed in the Cedar cabin - it was comfortable, well equipped and had beautiful views. Fishing and water activities were a lot of fun. The rooms did get extremely hot at night thanks to a heatwave and little wind. Something to keep in mind and prepare for when we go back next time.”

“Spent two 10 day retreats at this center, one in August '19 and one in January '20. Very consistent, excellent experience being there, would absolutely want to take a third there; truly eye opening. ***NOTE: I had been practicing Mindfulness based stress-reduction meditations for 3 years before I discovered and took this course, having spent 15--30 minutes almost daily in a cross-legged meditation posture. I took a 200H Yoga Teacher Training Course so I could learn how to develop a yoga routine that would make my sitting posture more comfortable, due to limited flexibility in hip/knee joints (with a history of numerous athletic injuries to both). Having prepared myself physically over 8 months for a better meditative posture, I was able to make it through the 10H/day x 10 days of meditation. I personally would not have been able to make it the whole 10 days without my meditation/yoga background, however, numerous people with no meditative or yoga background whatsoever complete the 10 day course. It would be difficult not to come away with a deeper understanding of yourself and the reality you perceive, an experience like this is so unique and invaluable. Coming prepared with proper clothing etc. will be very helpful, there are some short but nice nature walking trails that help if meditating indoors silently becomes intolerable. Following the instructions will absolutely help you get the most out of your time there and the meditation technique. So much of what is happening during the course was in my thoughts, engaging in the technique manages this well. Posture can be challenging if you are unfamiliar with meditation postures, they do offer chairs, but I think without long term practice almost any posture will get uncomfortable at some point. May all beings be happy!”

“The Parc Oméga accommodations are an excellent addition to your Parc Oméga adventure. The accommodations are essentially glamping options. There is a variety of tips or cabins that you can chose. There are about 30 sites spread around the area. They move slightly up hill away from the office and other buildings. Those with small children may want to request a site close to the washroom. There is an option to have bedding provided, which includes pillows, sheets blankets and towels. That combined with the meal halls stoves, microwaves, communal fridge and selection of dishes and cookware, means you only really need to bring food and clothes to enjoy the experience. The communal meal hall is fully enclosed, has a variety of thing to cook with, and an industrial pay as you go Keurig for those who need thier morning Java. The meal hall also has free WiFi. Therr is a large wash and shower building near the meal hall. It has running water, flush toilets, and heated showers. It is cleaned regularly and could be described as "immaculate". Firewood is available for purchase at the accommodations office, along with limited snacks. There is also a small fleet of pull wagons that you can use to bring your things up the hill to your site from the parking lot. The area past the meal hall is walking only. There is also a second set of bear and wolf enclosures that is accessible only to accommodations guests and the animals are feed each day at 1830h from. A raised boardwalk open to guests. Overall the experience is excellent, and having gone twice over the last few years, the area is expanding and new features are added constantly. I highly recommend it as part of the Parc Oméga experience.”
