(July 31, 2018, 5:42 pm)Have gone camping at Reserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle for two years in a row now at Lac Echo. Surprised by the negative comments but I can understand the disappointment if people come unprepared for a rustic, outdoor experience. This is no luxury resort.
However, the campgrounds are very peaceful and not overly crowded or overbuilt like others that I have been to. It's simple setup really allows you to reconnect with nature without the distractions of modern conveniences.
The lake is beautiful and so, so peaceful. Had a wonderful time kayaking around and watching a rainstorm roll over the hills.
Overall, if you can rough it than this is a beautiful place to relax, but if you can't make due without a fridge or a pottable water, than maybe don't go camping?
