“Well kept and nicely manicured grounds. This is an interesting historic site that everyone who is in the area should visit at least once. Quiet when I visited, overlooking the river on one side and the forest and hotel grounds on the other sides. Visited in the summer time, however looks like winter activities would be quite interesting as well. Recommended.”

“Very very clean and quiet place, good work do all the workers of the place. The only thing I did not like is that there is nowhere to sit while the children play in the park. I had a great time with my boy of 3 years old. I will go back”

“What a great time we had. I am not a native French speaker ( and the desk did not speak English ) but we got the idea across and we able to get out on the water. Our boat ( of 2 ) caught 12 and the other boat in the group got 18. Ranged from 14 inches to 8 inches and it was great fun. Obviously morning and evening are the best times to fish but we were out for the full day and still had a blast ( even when it was 2PM, hot sunny and the fish were not biting) and I would recommend this fishing experience to anyone who likes fishing but hates not catching fish ( part of the fun of fishing is finding spots for free but we all cannot spend the time to do that!). Obviously the cost must be considered but being out in a boat and being able to return home with lbs of fresh trout is worth the cost. get out there and get fishing!”

“The best camping area in Lac Simon”

“Spent the weekend. Lac Echo is a beautiful shield lake with lots of Rocky shoreline. The camp ground itself caters more to outdoor enthusiasts that enjoy tenting. I kayaked a fair amount of the lake. Clear water. Nice beaches at the camp ground. The sites lots of trees. There is no electricity, running water but no drinking water. There are remote cam psites with access by canoe. Various boats are available at the camp ground. Buy firewood at the main gate. Limted supplies. The road access is all dirt with rough spots. The campground is well worth the rough access road and having to bring in drinking water.”

“Rustic campground in semi-wild state. It makes you feel as if you were isolated in the middle of nature but there is a town just 8-min driving with a supermarket open till 9pm. The owner wants to transform the land into an edible forest, which is pretty cool. There is a nice and intimate beach and also a therapeutic mud spring right on the other side of the river. The major issue are the mosquitoes, I would strongly recommend to go there either in early spring or in August or September and for sure trying to avoid rain. Notice: Google Maps doesn't guide you exactly to the good address, pay attention to the numbers on the road”

“This place was amazingly beautiful. The mountains and views of the countryside and valleys are stunning. I came to this place for the Rallye DEFI and was entertained just by the driving from stage to stage. Beautiful place I recommend a visit!”
