“I gave this 5 stars mostly because the staff was so friendly and patient. As an American who actually speaks 3 languages (English, Italian, and Portuguese), I found myself in a strange position when I could NOT at the minimum muddle my way through a language. The waitstaff knew varied levels of English and were so gracious/happy when I even understood a bit of French. The food is basic, simple, GOOD food. Nothing fancy, but cooked well and the potatoes... oh the potatoes... no idea what they seasoned them with, but whatever it was is tops! If you are ever in the area and are hungry, swing by for a simple, but belly pleasing, meal AND (from what I can tell are) some pretty great human beings. Time for me to learn some French! “This McDonald is soo busy, they could open a 2nd one in Douville area and it would accommodate customers and make more profits since a lot of customers have to go elsewhere when they see the double drive-thru lanes filled with cars blocking the access to the parking area, sometimes up to the boulevard. The idea of closing the dining room at night can be understandable if they have been dealing with troublemakers. On the other hand, a McDonald on a main street in a city like St-Hyacinthe must stay open 24h because there is no alternative and it gets frustrating. The service is fast, food is meeting our expectations, the newly renovated dining room is modern, but there is no more pictures on the wall that used to represent historical places of St-Hyacinthe. It was better before.”

“We stopped in on the way home from the Granby zoo with our 4 kids. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it was clean and cozy inside. The service was amazing and attentive. They gave us each a decorated plate with carrot flowers, etc (all 6 of us) and I asked if it was included in our meals... The waitress said it was a gift (she spoke French though). The rest of our meal came soon after and it was fresh, tasty and flavorful. Each finished their plate and more. We will remember this place for our next Granby trip!”
