Auberge du Presbytère de Rivière-Eternité

Great little place to stay. It is right in between a hostel and hotel. The room was very nice and clean, same for the bathroom. Kitchen is big and same for the common area. Overall would recommend!

We chose this auberge for 1 night as there was no other options left in the area, it's more of a hostel. Overall I would only stay here again if there was no other options available.
+ proximity to national park
+ very clean room and bathroom
+ we couldn't make the 7pm check-in time (a little early in my opinion), but they found a way to make it work
+ spacious room (we had the family "suite" for 2 people)
- I thought the $185 for above mentioned setup was a bit overpriced.
- there was no night stand or a night light, haphazardly selected furniture, lighting in general either too bright or nothing, lack of ambiance
- breakfast is $10 extra (we didn't have to pay 'cause the booking setup haven't been updated on Expedia and there it's included) which you prepare for yourself and then clean up, basic fares
- check-out is 11am and we had someone knock on our door at 10.45 'cause she wanted to come in and clean the room.

Fantastic Auberge! The owners were wonderful hosts and their microbrewery was top-notch! I highly recommend a visit.

The place is situated in the "heart" of the village Rivière Éternité. There are practically no busses to get you there, but I managed by hitch hike. It is 8 km far from the point where the hikes start. The hostel itself is clean, for reasonable prices = 26 CAD / night. It should just offer the breakfast to be perfect :) The place is calm, most of the visitors are tired after all day of hiking, climbing or other outdoor activities, so the hostel "goes to bed" very early - my experience :) The reception is open early in the morning until 20:00 and they let me check-in straight after my arrival without waiting. Overall, ideal for hikers heading Rivière Éternité park. Except the campsite inside the park, this is the closest hostel for very good prices, clean accommodation and helpful staff.

Very welcoming auberge and ideal to visit the Fjord-saguenay forest, going to do the "via ferrata", see the statue Notre Dame or doing any of the park sentiers
