“We found this motel by chance via google maps and we found a gem! Lucky for us somebody cancelled and we booked for 1 night and then extended for the 2nd and 3rd night :) The room was renovated, no carpets, beds are very comfortable, lots of room for storage, huge desk, a table with chairs and a makeup mirror with light - all ladies will appreciate :) Picnic tables, BBQs, playground with swings, heated swimming pool and a deck. The view is breathtaking!”

“Stayed 4 nights at Gite Du Haut Des Arbres. It was a great jump off point for things to do around Saguenay. Especially for the Baie Eternitie section of the Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay. Beautiful hiking there. Also, the Zoo Sauvage De St-Felicien, is a beautiful “zoo”. Some of the best habitats I’ve seen. The place itself was immaculately clean, organized and had everything you needed. We stayed in the La Cache suite which was great with our own private side entrance. The property has much more potential in the warmer weather with decks and relax areas everywhere. But even in October we enjoyed the beautiful view of the Fjord. The rooms are (at least in our building, as there are two) are hotel like. So next door to each other. It wasn’t a problem, but you will hear your neighbours a bit. I would definitely recommend this place to stay! The only suggestion/caution I would give is the English support. I was unable to get through to the office only until hours before our stay as I was arriving late. My suggestion would be to text the mobile listed and one of their team members who speaks excellent English can help. Emails and calls don’t seem to be answered. Otherwise when I was there we had excellent help and communication. Thank you for providing an amazing stay for us to check out the Fjord.”

“A hidden gem in Chicoutimi! I have played courses all across Canada and the USA and this course was a pleasure to play! A nice blend of difficult and fun featuring scenic views with well maintained fairways and greens. The round was also a great price, under $50 for 18 holes. A friend and I chose to walk the course and we did not realise what how dynamic the elevation of this course was, but still enjoyed every hole. The halfway snack bar had good selection and tasty food, though the sandwiches were on the small side for the price. Overall well worth every penny!”
