“My husband and I decided to drive 12 hours to Saguenay to try out the unique experience of ice fishing in salt water. The hut was reasonably priced, comfortable and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet at night. We were supplied with five fishing rods, lures and bait, and could fish in one of three holes inside the hut or two outside. We fished for ground fish, catching 12 sebaste (redfish) and 1 lycode, eating them all. Melanie was very knowledgeable about fishing techniques and we had no trouble attracting the fish. There are no cleaning or cooking facilities in the hut so make sure to bring your own. There was a closet of sorts used as a bathroom but we did not use it. There are porta potties outside. We loved this experience and we will definitely be back! Thank you Melanie!”
