Bâton Rouge Steakhouse & Bar

I just love this restaurant. It has consistently good food, vibe and service. You always get a nice warm welcome as soon as you enter. The staff is well trained and personable. No matter when you go the food is on point with generous portions. And desserts are just yummy. Pricing is pretty reasonable and parking is hassle free.

The water tasted weird, which is apparently a known problem in the area. They were nice about it when we told them to give us bottled water instead but I feel like they should have warned us ahead of time. Ribs were great and melting in your mouth as usual, but the baked potato is not as good as I remember it being. It was a bit dry for me. Still one of the best fancy-ish places to go to in that area.

It was superb. The service was amazing & the food was tasty. The only thing we didn't care for was the gravy. It's more of a BBQ gravy than a regular gravy. Over all, it's highly recommend.

A fantastic restaurant to have lunch. I have ordered a mushroom and goat cheese burger with sweet potato fries.

They served a complimentary grilled chicken soup which was very delicious. Spicy but not overpowered and with a slightly charred taste from the chicken.

The burger patty was well done (it's the law in Canada) but very juicy. The bun looked freshly baked and there was a good balance of toppings. The sweet potato fries came with a tasty chipotle mayo.

We got refills for our soft drinks and the waiter was nice and attentive. The prices were moderate for all we've got.

Surprisingly, I like this restaurant. I heard the chain has gone downhill. But not from my recent visit!

1. The food is good, not incredible. It can’t compare with steakhouses like Moishe’s. But not bad

2. The appetizers are pretty standard and reasonably priced.

3. Main menu is also standard and reasonably priced. You can also see they are trying to be a bit adventurous with some dishes, but not too much though.

4. What stunned me and elevated my star rating was the service. Our waiter, Mario, was incredible! He was attentive. We did not have to wait long for our drinks, then to take our orders! Whenever our drinks were empty, he was there to bring new glasses or there to clean the plates and tables! Awesome staff, Baton Rouge!

So I will be back to this restaurant, it is after all on my way to/back from work!
