“Booked a Westjet holiday to Cuba through their travel people. I called them for clarification about checked bags because I was somewhat unclear after checking Westjet's website. I was told by the CAA folks that we were allowed one checked bag each with our package. When we arrived at the airport we found out that this was not the case and credit or debit would be fine to cover the $60 charge. When we returned home, I brought this to their attention. I was told that Westjet had changed their policy and it was outlined in the CAA information package that was emailed to us. I then responded that we did not receive any correspondence of that nature. After some further discussions, their compensation solution was to give us 40 "CAA Dollars" on our account (not the $60 that we paid out). Perhaps next time we will look at booking ourselves.”
