Very rewarding, nice views on look out points, and doable for everyone, including kids and dogs
One of the best views I’ve ever seen so far.
It's really a great trail. Don't turn around before you get to the lookout!
The trail is a pretty relentless vertical with few flats until close to the summit. You won't get a lot of good views in summer, as it is thickly treed. Any lookout over the lake also has a precipitous drop, so don't let children or pets out of your sight. Pack plenty of water and your sense of humor, as the trail gets crowded in good weather. We enjoyed a dip in Lake Willoughby afterward, though I wouldn't attempt it unless you've worked up a good sweat ;)
Very nice trail, not too hard or too long. My watch said 7.36km (4.57 miles) to go to the top and back down. Pretty easy and stunning views especially on sunny days. Note that from this point you could hike down the other way South to the beach or East. I don't know exactly where that East path leads to though. Enjoy!
