My husband and I stayed here for a little vacation just the two of us at Heather Cabin and it was so beautiful and romantic and there was lots to do on the island. The cabin had a kitchen which saved us money because we just got some groceries and cooked instead of going out! The bed was so soft and comfortable! And it was so peaceful there! And the views!! GORGEOUS!!! Management was so welcoming and even helped us find some things to do around the Island! I highly recommend this place to anyone even families in the bigger cabin! It’s a great place to get away!
Beautiful location. The views are stunning. Cabin was cozy but basic.
My daughter, grandaughter and I had a great girls weekend in the Willow's cabin. The cabin was so homey, warm, comfortable and really clean. Not a speck of dust anywhere.
Jennifer met us when we got there and gave us tips on where to eat and what to go see. We were there on the off season, so not everything was open in town. She tracked us down in town and gave us the updated list of open business for the weekend. She knows everything that is going on. We loved visiting with her and the cabin was very relaxing, which is what we really needed.
The cabin had great views. It has a fully stocked kitchen with all the basics. The beds were comfortable.
I will be back again very soon. It was so relaxing.
Thank you Jennifer!
We've been coming here since our second anniversary 25 years ago. This place is absolutely paradise. We do go other places for some of our anniversaries but hands down this is our favorite. Orcas Island is particularly quiet in January, which is fine with us. It just doesn't get any better than this.
Our family of 3 stayed in the Willow Cottage for a week at the end of August. There are a lot of great things about Cabins on the Point, but I don't think I'd stay at Willow Cottage again. Maybe one of the other houses on the property would be a better fit.
The cottage is quaint, but some deferred maintenance. Living room sofas are tired, and covered in dingy slip covers. Water damage directly in front of shower had created a decent sized soft spot in the floor that squished underfoot every time you stepped on the bath mat. Tiles underneath the mat were sliding out of position. The Willow Cottage is right on the road, so there is a fair amount of noise from cars traveling at 35mph right outside the window -- noticeable on warm summer days with the windows open. It's the only one of the cottages on the property that is so close to the road, so I think this is unique to the Willow Cottage.
On the plus side, you can walk down the front yard to the beach without having to cross the road -- a bonus for sure with kids. Great tide pools for finding sea stars and crabs. Bunnies bounding through the yard make for a fun late afternoon chase game with little kids. The kitchen is serviceable, and the linens are clean -- and beds comfortable. All in all, it's a sweet little beach just outside your front door, but it's a little pricey given the condition of the cottage and road noise. I echo the sentiments of previous posters who have indicated that the owner is very nice, attentive and helpful.
