Old Trout Inn

Heaven on earth is a real place, and it is run by Henri and Nicole on Orcas Island! We turned a business trip out to Orcas Island into a spur-of-the moment romantic getaway and booked at the Old Trout Inn because it was on the map near where we had to go. We couldn't have been more delighted. The place was a treat from the moment we drove up. Nicole's cooking and Henri's gracious service reflect their French background. Luxury everywhere - we felt so spoiled! Definitely order the dinner meal - it is worth the splurge. And the breakfast! We will be back - again and again and again.

Quaint little place. Owners are extremely welcoming. Everything is beautiful. Definitely stay here again next time I'm up this way.

It was perfect, the time we had with Henri and Nicole at The Old Trout Inn. The rooms The home, our fellow guests, the weather, the natural sounds of water the pond with its lilies in bloom, little transparent dragonflies observed us at a distance. The Red Wing Blackbirds whirling an diving with their flash of red on a black background. Of course each one will have their own sense of it, but this place offers you a chance to find calm, quiet filling. Merci, Merci for the chance to re-enter the poets sense of beauty when a dropping of the distinction between the world and the self, between things and me...some places invite that experience more than others...this is one of them
