Outer Island Excursions

Our Captain and crew made this adventure memorable in the best ways. They know the pods habits, recognize them as "old friends" and show such respect. Magnificent time and looking forward to returning one day to do it all again.

Went on what I suppose was a slow day for all the sea life. If you plan on taking photos bring a telephoto lens that is at least 200mm for good shots. State or federal law prohibits getting very close to the whale pods. The craft was nice, guides were great, everything felt safe and it was enjoyable but we had higher expectations for actual whales, not just harbor seals and bird feeding spots.

Absolutely loved the trip! The crew was awesome and took great care of us! We were able to see tons of wildlife - - many bald eagles, seals and SO many whales! Highly recommend!

We had so much fun kayaking in the sound with Outer Island Excursions. Our guide was named Bobby, but we’re pretty sure he was actually Chris Pratt. He was a delight. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a hands-on experience with the wildlife.

We had a very knowledgeable guide who filled the travel time with whale and environmental conversations. We appreciated our guides respect for the whales needs, such as space and noise, while still getting us a great experience. Then we had many whale sightings, many more and much closer than we had even hoped for!
