It is a small resort, with limited slips, so it stays nice and quiet. Check out the 4:00 show and history lesson, you have to go in the indoor pool, and be on the grass at 9:30 for the deer. Just stand there in the dark, and you will get surrounded. The staff is really great, and the mansion is definitely worth walking around, check out the museum.
I've stayed here numerous times over the years, and it keeps getting better ... now more than ever, with local owners. On this occasion, we simply stopped by for afternoon refreshments. Love the organ concerts in summer, complete with a pictorial narrative of the history of the hotel and area.
Love coming here! The staff is so nice and helpful. Listening to the organs play and watching the slideshow was a real treat. Amazing amenities! Spa, bar, nice restaurant, hot tub, two pools (one is 21+),smaller indoor pool, gift shop, marina, and a lot of history!
Very relaxing! Beautiful views and good amenities. We stayed in the double King room and it was awesome for family of 5! (Better than expected).
Great marina with adept line help and nice updated docks. Easy to navigate and has all the amenities. A terrific (and free) self-guided tour of the historic Moran mansion—built by a former Seattle Mayor and shipbuilder. The mansion includes an Aeolian pipe organ with over 1900 pipes and the museum offers seasonal, weekly organ concerts—check Rosario Resort website for scheduling. The manicured grounds provide ample strolling and stunning vistas. The exquisite, farm-to-table Mansion restaurant is on site—reservations highly recommended. There is also a family friendly, pub grub style restaurant attached to the well-stocked market. This layover is a must on the San Juan Islands itinerary.
