This is a little park with a gravel, calm beach. No fee, no bathrooms. We went down at twilight. (The beach points away from the sunset, so that should not be a motivator for a twilight visit). This is good for a short stop/walk. It is just over a mile from downtown so it would make a good walk destination/half way point.
Amazing. Beautiful, serene, I watched otters & a bald eagle eating something on the beach. The best!
Had a fire with my daughter after dark. The beach closes at dusk. ( news to me). The gentleman that informed us of the rules was very nice and respectful. He was wearing very shinny, black cop looking shoes which kinda freaked us out..
A great place to take your dog to run on the beach. No need to bring a stick to play fetch with...the entire beach is covered in driftwood....lots of it. Prepare for wind as it should have been called "Windy Point". There are restrooms at the end of the road right next to the boat launch. A waterfowl game reserve is on the other side of the road...a great place to check out migrating waterfowl.
Awesome little park. We walked there from town. It's not bad but part of the walk is on the road with no trail or sidewalk so use caution. Very peaceful and pretty.
