Agate Beach County Park

Beautiful little beach park. A little tough walking on the beach at high tide through all the stones. Plenty of spots to stop and sit and enjoy the view though.

I love the sound that the waves made as they washed against the colorful pebbles. Very scenic views with the giant boulders out in the water.

I visited the tiny beach today at high tide and there is no place at all to walk. No benches to sit on. The view is nice for bird watching, but all the nice beach areas here are all private property.
At low tide I was able to gain better access to the beach and on Saturday, November 11 the sound was filled with sailboats in an afteroon race of some sort.

Lopez Island Rules! If you are looking for a nice quiet getaway, I would definitely check out this island. The people are very friendly.

Small area for a park. It was very windy here when we went mid Feb and the waves seemed wild. One gentleman was so surfing. Good views. There is a small parking area here. You must park here if you want to hike to the Iceberg point
