Totally amazing. Will be going back for sure!
Great little noodle house with all the trimmings. Housemade noodles, nicely appointed broth (the one I tried anyway, I'm sure there are more broth variations), very fresh ingredients. Great pickled and fermented items. Definitely a personal touch to all of the dishes. Tried the pork ramen, pickled jalapenos and kimchi... delicious, light and fresh. Will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu!
Hand made noodles anchor perfectly cooked veggies, meats, and eggs, in spectacular noodle bowls. Sometimes I have an equally well-crafted sandwich- the kimchi meatball version is my favorite. Josh Ratza is chef who puts his soul into his food, using quality local and regionally sourced ingredients. The atmosphere is casual, funky, and friendly. I look forward to a chance to eat there and at other Lopez places any time I have chance.
This has to be the best restaurant on Lopez Island. The food is locally sourced, noodles are made fresh to order, and the udon noodle soup was the best ever. Made ever more special by the chef’s special home made fermented habanero hot sauce. Lucky for us, he gave my son a bottle of the hot sauce to take home with him. This is definitely worth the ferry ride to return for dinner.
By far the best reason to come to this island. Josh's handmade noodles and unbelievably delicious broth left a lasting taste that kept me coming back for more.
