Great loop trail when combined with the mount constitution trail. I'd recommend doing the route clockwise as its a slower ascent and a bit more enjoyable as a result.
Good for
The hike around the smaller lake two is pretty flat and relatively easy. The skunk cabbage was in bloom in April, and looked amazing. The larger lake has a bit of uphill, but is not difficult. The hardest part was getting to the trailhead (we hiked down from Mt. Constitution then back up which is a 1300 foot elevation change each way in 1.3 miles). The only confusing part of the trail around the lakes is that a short portion of the bigger loop leaves state park property and passes through a camp property, so the trail is not as well-maintained or well marked.
