Lake Padden Dog Park

This is a great off leash Dog Park! It’s a beautiful drive through Lake Padden! Minus the upgrades and little construction they are doing on the road going into the park the area is peaceful. If you have kids they can play across the way while you let your dog get his/her energy out in the off leash dog area.
They have a large fenced in area for the majority of the dogs as well as a smaller fenced off area for other pups that are a little older or not as interested in playing with the larger dogs. When we first got there, there was just one other pup and when we left I would say there were about 12 or so. There is plenty of space for 20+ dogs in this large dog area. All of the dog owners were very kind and watching over all of the pups to make sure none of them got out of hand. We really enjoyed this park and will be coming back in the near future when we are going through town.

I come to this park at least a few times a week, it's my favorite dog park in Bellingham! My pup always has the best time. There is a little sheltered area with a hose to wash your dog off, and pools for them to drink fresh water. If you don't like mud, dont come to this park! Be prepared to take home a wet, happy, muddy pup! For the most part owners are responsible and look after their pets.

Great place to walk or take your dog. There are miles of trails both around the lake or further back in the woods. Lots of off leash areas for your 4 legged friend. Not normally super busy but during the summer foot traffic picks up. Love going for walks or runs here.

Love the dog park but I noticed people aren't picking up their dogs poop? I get they get distracted talking to other dog people and their dogs go off somewhere playing? In the small dog area there was not anyone but lots of big dog poop? I realize there was lots of snow but it was the worst I've seen.
People just need to pick it up and not leave it for someone else to pick up?

Nice big park today usually has a good amount of dogs to play with. Bring your own bags. The is water and a covered area. There are also many miles of trails, some of which are off leash. Beautiful lake with play set, trails, fields. Trails are open to mountain bikes and horses too. Highly recommend!
