“I enjoy this park when there are owners there that pay attention to their dogs. Put down your freaking phones and pay attention. Your dog is trying to tell you that they don't like this dog or that or this behavior or that behavior but you don't see it. I've never had any issues but I'm always aware of my dog and others around him.”

“In 1986 and 1987 I lived in a cabin that was on the property that this little island is attached to. I had horrid neighbors to the east; they lived in Canada and came down on weekends. I called them the "Holes", as in Assholes. Great Blue Herons would come to this rock in the lake and poop crawfish shells onto the rock. I snorkled around the rock and there were these amazing green freshwater mussels in the lake bed. I cooked up a couple - YUK tasted like mud. I was dirt broke, but good times. I loved skinny dipping at night, with the bats swooping around my head, eating the bugs I disturbed off the water.”

“We have hosted many church camps and retreats at Lutherwood and have had a wonderful experience working with them. Many churches are watching costs and they offer a great facility and services for a reasonable price. We recently used their brand new ping pong table and it was fantastic.”

“Absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and usually unpopulated.”
Address: Raptor Ridge Trail, Bellingham, WA 98229, USA
“A nice quiet spot looking over some hills. Stop here for lunch. Raptor Ridge Trail is accessible in both directions from North Lost Lake Trail. Many of the trails in Larrabee State Park are designed for hikers, mountain bikers, and horses, so they are well maintained. They are also very well marked. The biggest downside for me was how close many of the trails are to I-5; you rarely escape the roar of the interstate.”
