South Fork Park

It is a beautiful setting for walking and horseback riding, although it us not monitored by park staff and law enforcement is a minimum of 20-30 minutes away. Frequented by less scrupulous people and graffiti...take a friend.

Great open space

A new park with a large open grass field. Trail along the edge with a sopt or two along the river. Nice park just out away from it all.

If you don't have a horse, this may not be the park for you. A lovely setting with good horse trailer (only) parking. A nice two mile trail around an open field. Not very interesting for walking or cycling, and no other developed activities yet

The location of the park is pretty neat: near the Nooksack and far enough from Mt Baker Hwy that traffic noise isn't an issue. The trail, as it exists now, is pretty short (2 mi round-trip), and nothing more than a mowed path through taller grass for much of the length of the loop trail. I'd like to revisit after the county finishes adding the 5.25 mi connecting trail.
