Staying in the guest house was an absolute treat. The accommodations were comfortable, and we found ourselves having a blast playing pool in the basement. During our stay, we also had the opportunity to embark on a thrilling adventure with Outdoor Adventures ATV. “A very very good and a very very nice and a very very scenic park to walk or ride your bike around or just relax at and watch the birds but I recommend staying out of that park after dark. Entertaining to watch up close small planes take off and land in this small fenced-in area, with benches and walking path (Courtenay Riverway Heritage Park Trail) surrounding it. Located beside the estuary with informative signage, plus a nearby cafe and marina at the north end (and car park), children's playground at the south end (car parking via Mansfield Dr.). The trail is flat and paved, so easy for walking albeit limited shade. Tiny coffee place nearby. You can walk to downtown from there (15-30 min.). Peaceful and relaxing area to also watch birds and walk leashed dogs.”

“Wonderful experience, great fishing, great food, and more. Absolutely loved it, you are limited to how many fish you can catch a day, fishing is best in the early morning before eight, and after dinner (6:00), it is still possible to get fish in the day though. I caught 2 fish within five minutes of going out, and maxed out the number of fish I could get for that day. Highly recommend it, and the accomidations are also wonderful.”

“Awesome Gem in Alberta to fly into! The runway surface is nice and smooth and is really wide compared to other soft fields I have seen. On a hot day you gotta watch it as you will probably use the whole runway. If you can you're always better off to land from the lake and takeoff towards the lake. Then you're not dealing with the trees which surround the whole field and make it difficult on a hot day to clear an obstacle. (Especially in a 152). Aside from the flying part its a great place to land and stay the day or camp overnight. Lake is super clean and great to swim in! There is a washroom and a fire pit as well. I will for sure be coming back in the summer when its warm!”
