“Our party of 4 had a fantastic late June stay at Sunset Point in Minaki (Trailhead and Boathouse cabins). Alan and Margaret are super friendly and made the entire experience enjoyable, from booking the suites, to orienting us to the fishing spots, to picking us up and dropping us off at the landing during arrival and departure times. On our arrival evening, Alan took us for a tour of the local waters, which certainly helped put us "on the fish" and helped us avoid reefs and other troubles on the water! We fished for 2 full days and caught our limit of walleye each day, well before lunch! We even netted a 54" Muskie (right near the lodge)... quite by accident. But it makes for a great story. With the excellent fishing, great hospitality, and comfortable/quiet cabins, we look forward to returning to Sunset Point Minaki in the future. Thanks again for a great experience and memories!”

“The Whales and Wilderness trip with Spirit of the West Adventures was one of the most memorable trips we’ve ever taken. We were there both as guests and to help capture the experience on camera, to convey the experience in an interactive 360° Virtual Tour, videos, photos, and aerial drone footage. The glamping experience was next level, with a hot tub that had stunning ocean views, beautiful canvas tents with comfortable beds, outdoor showers, and a Robinson Crusoe-style dining area. The food and wine were also top-notch. But what really made the experience were the amazing guides and staff, and the incredible access to wildlife viewing from the kayaks. We saw all kinds of wildlife such as humpback whales, orcas, dolphins, sea lions, seals, and eagles. I highly recommend Spirit of the West Adventures for anyone looking for an unforgettable outdoor adventure.”

“I highly recommend you visit the Parks Canada Visitor Centre. There is a lot to learn about Canadian geography and history where there is a museum. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They can provide valuable information about places to visit. Another piece of advice you will hear from them is "please don't litter the Parks". And I am repeating this advice since it is a big issue. Keep the Parks clean!!”

“Kyle and Taylor are some of the best in the business. It's clear once you step foot on the boat that their wealth of knowledge about the sea and all that goes with it is going to produce a trip to remember. We hit a good school of mackerel and herring straight off the bat and then went after some striped bass. Sure enough we hit into a Lunker, and Kyle expertly netted him after a great fight. Kyle and Taylor then brought us out for a quick spin to the lighthouse, spotted multiple porpoise and then back to the dock where he filleted our prize catch for supper later that evening. I can't recommend this charter enough, professionally ran with awesome people. Thank you again Kyle and Taylor, you really made our trip to Nova Scotia one that we will never forget.”
