“My son has been taking lessons with Allen for almost two years. Allen is a dedicated teacher, he continually researches to improve my son’s playing as well as his own teaching. His teaching style is structured yet not ridge. He provides clear instructions on progress and areas to work on both to student and parents. I like his emphasis on practicing. He has also provided us with structure for practice time, including guidance on what to do, how often and for how long. There is an aspect of his teaching that allows for student input. He often uses questions to help my son identify and address issues rather than just telling him. My son came to Allen when he felt stuck with a previous instructor. I have seen marked improvement in his playing and attitude towards playing and practicing.”
