Favourite place as a child and an adult, happy that they're not only surviving, but they're thriving during these crazy times!
Sandwiches are THE best. My gosh the bread! Crunch is amazing. Make sure to get the tri pork idunno what it's called exactly but the meats aren't hot so the bread stays nice and crusty!
I used to only visit Van Loc for delicious and cheap banh mi in Chinatown, but since they re closed temporarily due to COVID-19 (the owners/operators are elderly), I tried out Nhon Hoa a block away. I was not disappointed with the regular cold cut sandwich I ordered - the baguette was deliciously crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside (as it should be) and there was a generous portion of cold cuts inside. All of that, plus the classic cucumbers, pickles and cilantro, for $5, makes Nhon How a great deal!
Love these subs!! The bun and all the ingredients are fresh and delicious ?
Good subs with fresh bread made on-site. I always get the #3 combo - bacon, headcheese and Vietnamese sausage. Toasted and spicy please! Fast and brisk service, but the lineups can get long at lunch, so get there a bit early.
