Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary

Just a short drive outside the city....these walking trails rock! We spent the whole afternoon exploring. The boardwalk trails have lots of lookouts. Even though the weather wasn't amazing we still saw lots of birds (geese and ducks mostly). We also saw a moose!!!!

The trails are kept nice and there are a ton of information boards along the way to tell you the types of trees, flowers and animals that are in the area. There are lots of benches along the trails as well.

I definitelt recommend checking this place out. Kids had a blast exploring. Even found a small fort on the pine knoll trail. :)

Always fun walking here. Boardwalk area is great if you have a stroller. Nice lake viewpoints. A bit quieter in winter but lots of neat bird and other wild life in warmer months. A nice set of trails that wind their way around the park.

Only a few minutes out of the city for such an amazing little escape. The paths/trails are all very nice. I went while it was still a little chilly out, but I can only imagine how beautiful it would be during the summer time.

We also saw a moose while we were there. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Great place to go for a walk or clear your head and be around nature. Very well taken care of.

definatly one of the most amazing places I have been close to the city. the raised walking path adds something, I'm not sure what but it makes the experiance just that more unique. I would recommend this nature park to anyone I know. And if you have a wild side... go walk there at night, just make sure you have some people with you lol.

This is a beautiful, quite place to bring the kids for a nice family walk. We bring out some bird seed and hand feed the little birds that are scattered throughout the sanctuary.
The trails are easily manageable with a stroller and the wooden walkways are maintained well.
We try to come out here at least 3-4 times a year.
