One hour and forty five minutes and you will be at this place of tranquility. The drive out there has great spots for photographers. The hike through the beautiful rocky mountains and falls brings you to peace. There are areas to have picnics by the falls if you take a bit of a longer hike. The hike may be difficult but once you see the falls you won't regret it.
Beautiful route. It was cloudy and rainy, in fact thunderstorm warning was in effect but we went anyway.. It was beautiful due to mountains piercing through the clouds.
It is a very short walk through the trees from parking to the actual falls. You can view from above or get down to the falls and soak your feet.
Beautiful place close to Calgary. About an hour and 45 minutes and you can be at this tranquil place. Its usually very packed on weekends, but there are small private areas with fire pits if you can get there early enough.
Beautiful site for a short hike or picnic. Easy drive from Okotoks or Calgary. The waterfall is stunning, easy to get to, especially if you have dogs or kids. There are longer hikes in the area as well.
Beautiful place, quite popular too. The walk to the falls is very short and there's a little crossing over a small stretch of river along logs and a worn and somewhat wobbly wooden board which is a bit tricky, so be careful there. My wife crossed it with our 3 month old in a carrier with a little bit of help. The falls are very nice and the view is gorgeous. There are quite a few picnic tables around the area as well, so pack a lunch or snacks. We really enjoyed this little outing!
