Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Strathmore

I would say a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. We ended up staying for a week and at first it wasn’t bad. We went to the Hotel during COVID so something features like the Pool, and gym were closed which I can’t blame them for. The bed wasn’t the best as we had a king size bed and right off the bat something about the bed wasn’t right. The one side of the bed had a huge deformation and had a lot less support then the other side which was firm.

The suite we had was divided by a double door. The door way however was missing floor as they just put some laminitis 8mm floor plants where the hole was with folded up towels as spacer. This of course didn’t work very well and the screws they used were hazards for my 4 year old. By the end of the stay the boards were bent and broken.

During our stay the hotel was pretty much empty besides one night when some more guests came. With 4 floors and 100 room the management decided to put another couple in the room beside us instead of putting them on another floor or another room not attached to us. The reason I bring this up is because we could hear every noise the other couple made, including the tv which sounded like the volume was cranked. We called the front desk to see if the hotel was full and if they had a reason for putting them beside us and they weren’t able to give one as they had more then 90 rooms to choose from.

Beside some language issues the staff was very nice and out going to us during our stay. The room was clean. I would like to see a better internet option as it would cut out from time to time but besides that it wasn’t bad.

I did not have a reservation, when I checked in the gentleman was very pleasant and courteous. My room was very clean the beds were very very comfortable. I will stay at this hotel again.

We got in last minute on a snowy night in October. As I checked in I went back outside to grab our plate number from our vehicle in the pull up spot right in front and slipped hard on ice falling flat on my back. When I went back inside sore, embarrassed and flustered I informed the front desk attendant they needed to salt the entrance area. She expressed her concern. When I we came back thru with our belongings I reminded her again. And when we came for extra towels and stuff I reminded her about the ice again. This is not acceptable and dangerous!
