Amazing Housewares

What an amazing little kitchen and houseware shop! A hole-in-the-wall, hidden gem, where we can find so many useful kitchen items at. My parents had bought a Pacific brand kitchen hood fan about 13 years ago from this little shop. And many Asians around 15 to 20 years ago already knew that Pacific was the top Taiwanese hood fan brand in the market, as Asians do a lot of stir-fry and "wok-hey" in cooking by using lots of oil or boiling soup/stew for 4-8 hours (hence why a strong hood fan's needed for such heavy, smelly cooking). Pacific brand was the first to have huge suction powers starting at 600 CFM, and the first to make an autoclean fan. That's why my parents and all of their family members and friends have gotten the Pacific brand. No dirty cleaning of the inside of the fans every week! My parents diligently use the hood fan cleaning solution every day with the press of the autoclean button, after cooking, to maintain the fan. It's still working very well to this day, after so many years!

I've bought a Japanese mandolin vegetable slicer here that I've seen may famous cooking shows' chefs using, such as on The Food Network, Master Chef, and Top Chef. It is fantastic! I can get my carrots, zucchini, eggplants, and cucumbers peeled so thinly. Excellent for so many vegetable dishes. It's one of my fave kitchen items right now.

I also bought a Tiger brand rice cooker here that's made in Japan (not the cheap and lesser quality China-made ones sold at Canadian Tire or Walmart that don't last), to make quality jasmine rice. I also bought a Tiger water heater boiler (made in Japan) here that really boils water, warms the water so whenever I want hot water for tea, I can instantly press a button and out comes the already preboiled and consistently hot, burning water. There's an awesome "unlock" button for pouring hot water out. And there's a "lock" button so that my kids or family members do not accidentally press it and hot water comes out. I refill water to the top when it's out, and it boils the new water. I go back to this shop to purchase the Japanese water heater boiler cleaner, to clean the inner pot every month. Japanese inventions are amazing! I don't have to wait for a water kettle every time to boil water no more. The water heater boiler has hot water readily available for me, any time of the day. It's awesome, especially since a majority of our Canadian year is filled with cold winter months.

I highly recommend a lot of the products sold at this little shop! 'Can't get enough of their products!
