Mount Royal Hotel

This hotel is located in an ideal location. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The service is great as well. If you book the heritage room there are a couple of stairs involved (lift access and then a few steps down). I would recommend a minimum of 2 night stay here to explore Banff.

The hotel's location in downtown Banff is excellent. During our three-night stay, we had a fantastic experience. The convenience of having included parking with ample space in their parking lot was a plus. The hotel staff were not only kind but also knowledgeable, making our stay even more enjoyable. Moreover, the hotel's proximity to various restaurants and entertainment options added to its appeal. Additionally, we were pleased to find that Lake Louise and Lake Moraine were easily reachable within an hour's drive. Overall, it was a truly fantastic stay.

Perfect location. Quite pricey during summer (tourist season). Unfortunately hot tub was closed at the time for repairs and we were'nt aware of it ahead of time.. Get 2 free drinks (wine or beer) for booking with them at their restaurant. Free parking on site. Recommend for the stay!

The location of this hotel i just perfect. Exactly in the middle of downtown. Super close to the bus station and everywhere else in the town is able to reached by feet. The room is very comfy and the staff just wonderful. Just one small downside is they only have 1 lift to take us to the main floor, so we need to wait for some moment to get into the lift. The highlight besides the location and the room is they have very two cute hot bath tub in the rooftop. And they close at 10 pm make it perfect fit to enjoy after a whole day activities. Extremely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay in Banff town.

Absolutely amazing hotel! This is 100% our new forever go to hotel when we visit Banff.

My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After an easy, pleasant and smooth check in, we went to our room, and we were greeted with a beautiful display; towel swans on the bed with rose petals, chocolates, a bottle of champagne and a Happy Anniversary card that numerous staff members signed. It was beyond wonderful and thoughtful - I’m still in awe that they went the extra mile for us when they didn’t have to.

The location is literally perfect. It’s in the heart of the town and everything is mere minutes away. Parking is only $5 a day, and there was ample spots available our whole stay.
The rooms were great. Modern, clean, and comfortable with great lighting. Our room had many amenities. They provided us with ear plugs and there was a sound machine, which was an unexpected bonus but it did make me nervous that meant we’d have issues with outside noise, but we did not! Our room was right by the elevator and ice machine and we were not disturbed at all. I genuinely wouldn’t have changed a thing.
