OUTSTANDING OUTSTANDING OUTSTANDING
No other way to describe the Banff Bear! The accommodations were extremely comfortable, everything needed was in the kitchen and replenished daily ( fresh quart of milk and package of croissants every day!!) The location is very quiet and only 2-3 blocks from downtown and a great walking trail along the Bow river. Perfect! The hosts were always available but never intrusive. They went out of their way to ask about our day when they saw us. Genuinely interested, too. Not just asking. This is far better than a condo in town. Don’t look any further. Book with confidence. I hope to return one day soon! Thank you Richard and Alison! Aloha
We really enjoyed our stay at the Banff Bear! Richard the host was pleasant, responsive and accommodating. The location is great- short walk to the Main Street in Banff, but still very quiet and tucked away from the crowds/traffic. The suite was very comfortable (all 4 of us agreed) Beds were comfy and the blankets and pillows were great, everything was fresh and clean. The kitchenette area was well stocked for a light breakfast. It was a nice space - since we were two couples, we appreciated the separate bathrooms and the door separating the living space and bedrooms. Overall we would recommend, and will probably stay again the next time in Banff. Our only comment is that the fridge is quite small, which made it tricky to plan “at home” meals, so we will definitely bring a cooler next time. And one suggestion from our group - wall outlets with USB ports would be a great addition! All in all, happy with our stay!
We had a wonderful stay in Banff! Richard and Alison were lovely hosts and very attentive. They checked in with us to make sure our trip was going well and to see if there was anything at all that they could help us with.
They provided breakfast each day and ensured our fridge was kept stocked. The unit was comfortable for 4 of us and it was nice to have the 2 bathrooms.
The unit was close to restaurants, and shops. The Bow River Falls trail was only a few minutes away and was a beautiful trail along the water.
We would definitely stay here again!
Stayed at the Bear Banff at the end of a ski holiday to Fernie.
The hosts Richard and Alison, were very welcoming, great to deal with both before and during our stay and kindly let us stay a little longer after check out to meet our airport transport. The accommodation itself is excellent, very clean and well appointed, with two large en-suite bedrooms, and an open plan lounge, dining and kitchenette area. The property is well located, being a short walk away (5 minutes at most) from the main high street and close to some great scenic walks around the Bow River. We were there in the winter, and the property had everything you could want including onsite parking, ski lockers and even some natty boot dryers!! A real gem, I would thoroughly recommend the Banff Bear, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there if ever in Banff again.
I can’t say enough good things about Richard and Alison and their B&B! My friends and I were truly sad to leave!
Their home is absolutly perfect. It is beautifully clean and well kept, but homely.
Richard and Alison were consummate hosts and gave us a really good introduction and detailed tips about Banff and making the most of the area. Some of their suggestions saved us!! The B&B is barely a 5 minute walk to the main street in the lovely downtown area. They even checked in on us the second night to see how we were getting on. We really recommend the Banff Bear Bed and Breakfast! 10 out of 10!!
