Great location - nearby riverfront trail is a must go to place.
Rooms and bedsheets were squeaky clean and beds were really comfortable.
Great value for the price.
Expect simple! We paid about $250 for a room with one queen bed. No amenities, shared bathrooms. Totally fine bc it was probably the cheapest place in town and we didn't plan on staying that night. It is easy walking distance and wheelchair accessible to downtown. Our floor had I think three maybe four bathrooms and I never had to wait. Shower, sink and toilet, private and obviously you can lock while in there. It was hot at night, no ac. The sprinklers are loud off and on all night and people outside were loud until almost 4am. I should have grabbed my ear plugs lol. I didn't sleep well bc I sleep light but my friend was totally fine. I would stay again with my sleep mask and ear plugs. You are able to borrow fans at the front desk. And all of the money made goes to an amazing cause.
Great place to be. Everything here is perfect and there is a solid reason (which you should know) why this place exists. It's NOT for profit entity that stands resolutely for various social issues such as domestic abuse, homelessness and poverty for women and their families.
Keep your expectations accordingly.
We stayed at YWCA Banff Hotel for a few nights. We had a private room. The room was small as expected. It was very clean. As well there was no unnecessary noise from any parts of the hotel, which made our stay enjoyable. There is a fridge and microwave that guests can use. I wish they had a kitchen for guests to access. Overall we were very satisfied with the stay.
I stayed at YWCA Banff hotel as a solo traveller for 4 nights, the room that I booked was double with private bathroom. The whole experience was amazing, I felt safe all the time, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is based central, very well looked after building, surrendings and bedrooms. The hotel also supports local shelter, I would like to make it clear they support the local shelter and there is no shelter at the hotel itself, so staying at YWCA Banff hotel helps the community which I find the idea lovely. For the duration of my stay it was very quiet and I had a good sleep every night, the bed was super comfy too.
If I'll ever retur to Banff, for sure I'll book this hotel again.
The only downside is no fridge in the room, especially with such a hot weather.
