My friend hired Joel to lead three of us on an alpine hike in a section of Yoho National Park. The hike was amazing, and Joel was a terrific guide. He knows the park/trail well - we would have struggled mightily to find it on our own - and his interpretive talks along the way were very interesting. He was very well prepared to show us subtle features of the park, as well as assuring basic safety precautions in a vary isolated setting. Our hike was always exhilarating, often exhausting and sometimes terrifying... an incredible experience overall, made possible by Joel.
Joel surpassed all my expectations as a guide. He went above and beyond to meet the varied physical abilities of our group. His knowledge of the Lake O’ Hara region is vast and impressive. It felt like a field trip - we learnt so much from the wealth of knowledge he has amassed over many years. Highly recommend!
Joel is such an amazing guide!
We are extremely glad we booked our snowshoeing tour with him in January and learned a lot about the local vegetation and wildlife.
He makes extremely delicious power bars, which he even gave us the recipe for and we can’t wait to try them out at home. :-)
It was also fun goofing around with him, as we jumped head first into the deep snow!
We’ll never forget this tour, it was one of our highlights on our journey.
Keep on rockin‘, Joel!
I am so happy that I scheduled this snowshoe tour while in Lake Louise recently. Joel helps you see the natural world with new eyes. It was a great day.
Highly recommended!! We had a lovely time snowshoeing with Joel and the other members of our group. Joel is fantastically knowledgeable about the local area and environment. He took us on some unspoilt snow trails, brought some delicious homemade power bars, hot chocolate and we all had a good roll in the snow! Thanks Joel :)
