Tunnel Mountain Village II Campground

A beautiful place to camp in our trailer but was disappointed with the site up keep! I was picking up garbage and the site itself had not been attended to in a very long time. We were here for two days and saw people coming and going and not once did we see someone come to tidy or check on a vacant site! I saw a lot of staff at the entrance greeting people but that’s about it! Aside from that the scenery is gorgeous!

Fabulous Campground! B70 best site for Mtn view. We had B69, good too and with electric only. ROAM local shuttle bus system is outstanding. Comes right into Campground, free into downtown, $2CA for return trip. Facilities at campground are excellent and clean, free firewood. Trailer court side has nice FHU sites esp. Lane 101 to 120 so you can see mountains otherwise very wooded and nice. Village 2 has more open sites but better chance of views. Nice loop hiking paths around entire Campground. Banff is nicely done but touristy. Ice is very expensive in town. Campground does not have a camp store.

Most sites seem offer little in the way of privacy. Be careful when driving around as there are a lot of small children at weekends (which is great that they are outside!) and their road safety isn't the best.
Dump station was clean and easy to pull through.

Had the opportunity to spend a week in Banff. The campground was great, when I arrived I was offered a spot near the bathrooms or with a view (I imagine this isn't a thing during the summer). Views were incredible from the van and the bathrooms were very clean. For the price, I think the value is excellent. Water fill and waste disposal, clean showers and bathrooms, and electrical hookup, with additional bus service into town from the campground, not bad Canada.

We winter camp here. With power, a small electric heater and heated mattress pad gives all the creature comforts. And if you take a site on the south side of the campsite, you get a great view of the mountains.
