“Polar Ridge Trailer Court is a good place to live when you're first moving out on your own. Good for small familes. Trailers don't usually have many bedrooms, and these don't usually have more than 3. The trailer I lived in for 5 years had 3 rooms. Living rooms are pretty small, so keep that in mind. Only thing I really dislike about the trailer court are the roads, there are hundreds of potholes and all they do to fix it is fill them with dirt. So it's extremely uneven and hard to drive on. Not pleasant, but you get used to it. The speed bumps are basically unnecessary lol.”

“The park is very clean and green. Our spot #5 was perfectly level. We didn't have to do anything extra. The picnic tables are uncomfortable and there is no possibility of a handicapped person joining us at the table. Very disappointed there was no wifi in this day and age and for the price we paid. The breaker kept blowing even when we only had the air conditioner running and nothing else. 8 times in 2.5 days. I liked how the sites are staggered so we don't have to see the neighbors sewer hoses while we ate. It is way over priced compared to other parks in the area that have more amenities. It was also very confusing between Wiley Campground and this one. Maybe a separate website for each. "Not Wiley Campground" doesn't really help on the bottom of the confirmation email. Our friends went to Wiley automatically.”

“This hotel is good for workers in Drayton Valley. Rent a room here and get a meal voucher for the Sky lounge 1 per person. This is a perk fosho. Hotel is dated, the roof is leaking above the pool (pool is also closed), and the parking lot is slippery in the winter ( I fell and hit my head on the running board of my truck). When driving into town from Highway 22, just turn into tow by the 3 oil rig Derrick and follow the road until you see the "HO" on the side of the building. Can't miss it.”

“If you're looking for a quiet little getaway, this is the place. This little cabin is situated over looking the Coulee, surrounded by nature!! It's a pet friendly airbnb with all the amenities you could need for your stay. They also offer a variety of beef products that you can purchase for your stay. Highly recommend if your looking to get away from it all for just a little while !!”

“Mom and pop owned. Couple lovely, sites a good size and quiet. Careful when driving into or through town of Edson as there are plenty of cameras... stick to the posted limits. Away from main highway unlike RV park you pass to get to this one.”

“We tend to stay away from the chain hotels if at all possible and look for these types of small places. The service a person gets is more personal and you get a better understanding of a community. The rooms are a nice size, clean and modern. Duchess is a cute little town with good food.”

“This motel was a great surprise. Not only is it the cleanest room we have stayed in it is quite and run by very friendly staff. It is new and modern with all the amenities of a high end hotel this is hard to find in rural communities.”

“My family and I were evacuated from Yellowknife because of the forest fires. Finding places to stay in and around Edmonton was nearly impossible. Luckily, we have family friends in Alliance and we found ourselves at the Inn. After the long drive straight through, Alliance felt like a quiet secluded refuge. The Inn was cozy and clean and the owners were incredibly kind and understanding regarding our pets. The food was delicious, too! Everyone was so kind. The only downside was that the wifi is incredibly spotty.”

“We booked a site for our camper. Overall the site was nice, the pond was good. Our boy really enjoyed himself. We thought there would be trails for our atv, but everything was super muddy. Definitely not a place you can go trail riding with the kids. Other then that it was great. Our son definitely wants to go again.”

“I have been coming here since just a young kid; in the winter, we came to go sledding on the big hill, and we loved it; in the summer, it was hiking the trails. As an adult I came out to camp and hike abd of course as a local boy I never hiked the conventional trails always going down game trails or just taking off into the bush to see where we would end up. Anyway, I love this place and anyone looking for good family friendly camping I definitely recommend, it's not a place to go partying and getting drunk, it's not a bad place to have a couple of drinks with family and friends but to get drunk find somewhere else because of course people are going to get cranky about that, especially since they probably have kids with them, people go and enjoy every Edsonites favorite place to camp, hike, bike, and even enjoy in the winter you'll love it!!”

“Absolutely beautiful. There's a very substantial dock that looks newly built that really ups the enjoyment factor of this backcountry site. The water is pristine and being able to jump in off the dock is a real plus. Tent pads are nice and well maintained. Another star of the show is the outhouse it's not just a portapotty it has an interesting design which makes it basically odorless. Very clean and nice seat as well. The 1 knock is that the bear bins and the food prep area are both just a little to close to tent pads for my liking. You can see the bear bins from tent pad 3 and the food prep area from tent pad 2. Made me extra alert for bears.”

“Friendly service, comfortable room and beds. We had a kitchenette, which comes in handy. Dishes, utensils, pots snd pans, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. No hairdryer. Suggest a back room for less noise from trucks on highway. Good value with free continental breakfast.”

“Awesome Motel! The service is excellent, friendly, and accommodating. I showed up at 5:25 a.m., after a terrible 21 hours of riding with some hiccups on the way. I was a dripping exhausted motorcyclist looking for somewhere warm and dry. Checkout is 10 am, but I was allowed to sleep till 10:30. I can't say enough about how great the host was even at that hour. Superb.”

“You are definitely paying for the location when staying at the property. I loved being able to get up before sunrise and walk to Lake Louise each morning. . Issues: my room was “double booked” and I was not notified of this until I was standing at the check in desk. I was given a smaller room with less beds and this was very inconvenient for our group of (4). I was not offered a discount or any thing else for the huge inconvenience. Only an insincere apology. It was 11pm at night and I was exhausted after driving all day, so I had to take what I could get. The hot tub was closed for maintenance and we were never put on notice. The ice machine never worked the whole time we were here. No elevators (however, I am understanding to the fact that it is an old lodge. So this wasn’t a huge issue). I was disappointed that there was no fridge in the room for our lunch items we were storing in a cooler. . The breakfast was good, but the flow is not set up very well and the food ran out quickly with long waits for refills. . Overall: I would stay here again just for the location, but I would come with very low expectations.”

“My wife and I visited just for a few nights to put our new small rig through its paces in cool-weather dry-camping conditions. What we found is a gem of a little campground! The owner was super helpful and we felt most welcomed; he even arranged a water fill-up point that we used on arrival. The sites and inside roads are on the smaller size (I would not have been comfortable venturing in there in our previous 40-foot 5th-wheel) but most are level and well located amid tall spruce. It's hard to find a good site for solar (our site, #1, was probably the best for that), but I guess the shade is nice in warmer weather. There are super-clean pit toilets in each of the two "loops," other than that it's fully dry camping. Great, grassy "recreation" area by the creek, short but nice walking trails in the forest. The only downside: quite a bit of heavy-truck traffic on the two roads adjacent to the campground. On the other hand, things got right down quiet during the evening and at night. We slept great! We would definitely come back.”

“Personally I thought this place was neat and cute. Although slightly strange.... It's doesnt look to be open either. I walked around the outside of the building and.... nothing was open. It looks like it's a cute small town hotel. I wonder what's happening to it.. still neat to stop an look at from the outside though.”
