Drayton Valley RV Park Campground

Address: 6001 44 Ave, Drayton Valley, AB T7A 1R3, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“The park is very clean and green. Our spot #5 was perfectly level. We didn't have to do anything extra. The picnic tables are uncomfortable and there is no possibility of a handicapped person joining us at the table. Very disappointed there was no wifi in this day and age and for the price we paid. The breaker kept blowing even when we only had the air conditioner running and nothing else. 8 times in 2.5 days. I liked how the sites are staggered so we don't have to see the neighbors sewer hoses while we ate. It is way over priced compared to other parks in the area that have more amenities. It was also very confusing between Wiley Campground and this one. Maybe a separate website for each. "Not Wiley Campground" doesn't really help on the bottom of the confirmation email. Our friends went to Wiley automatically.”

Pinnacle Trails Resort

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“We booked a site for our camper. Overall the site was nice, the pond was good. Our boy really enjoyed himself. We thought there would be trails for our atv, but everything was super muddy. Definitely not a place you can go trail riding with the kids. Other then that it was great. Our son definitely wants to go again.”

Willmore Park-Edson

Address: Range Rd 174, Edson, AB T7E 1T5, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“I have been coming here since just a young kid; in the winter, we came to go sledding on the big hill, and we loved it; in the summer, it was hiking the trails. As an adult I came out to camp and hike abd of course as a local boy I never hiked the conventional trails always going down game trails or just taking off into the bush to see where we would end up. Anyway, I love this place and anyone looking for good family friendly camping I definitely recommend, it's not a place to go partying and getting drunk, it's not a bad place to have a couple of drinks with family and friends but to get drunk find somewhere else because of course people are going to get cranky about that, especially since they probably have kids with them, people go and enjoy every Edsonites favorite place to camp, hike, bike, and even enjoy in the winter you'll love it!!”

Bertha Bay Backcountry Campground

Address: Waterton Park, AB T0K 2M0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“Absolutely beautiful. There's a very substantial dock that looks newly built that really ups the enjoyment factor of this backcountry site. The water is pristine and being able to jump in off the dock is a real plus. Tent pads are nice and well maintained. Another star of the show is the outhouse it's not just a portapotty it has an interesting design which makes it basically odorless. Very clean and nice seat as well. The 1 knock is that the bear bins and the food prep area are both just a little to close to tent pads for my liking. You can see the bear bins from tent pad 3 and the food prep area from tent pad 2. Made me extra alert for bears.”

Bear Creek Campground

Address: 50012 Range Rd 91, Drayton Valley, AB T7A 2A3, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“My wife and I visited just for a few nights to put our new small rig through its paces in cool-weather dry-camping conditions. What we found is a gem of a little campground! The owner was super helpful and we felt most welcomed; he even arranged a water fill-up point that we used on arrival. The sites and inside roads are on the smaller size (I would not have been comfortable venturing in there in our previous 40-foot 5th-wheel) but most are level and well located amid tall spruce. It's hard to find a good site for solar (our site, #1, was probably the best for that), but I guess the shade is nice in warmer weather. There are super-clean pit toilets in each of the two "loops," other than that it's fully dry camping. Great, grassy "recreation" area by the creek, short but nice walking trails in the forest. The only downside: quite a bit of heavy-truck traffic on the two roads adjacent to the campground. On the other hand, things got right down quiet during the evening and at night. We slept great! We would definitely come back.”

Thompson Creek Campground

Address: nordegg, AB T0M 2H0, Canada

“Beautiful well treed campground. If you go over to the loop across the bridge there is a trail. It's a steep climb but it's a great view and worth the effort.”

Gold Springs Park Campground

Address: Coutts, AB T0K 0N0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“I would give 5 stars but the low power amps prevented me from using my camper’s A/C. And the flush toilets close at 9:00, after that you only have access to outhouses. Pretty minor, but if this matters to you then take this into consideration. Friendly staff, wonderful campground, loved the lake, loved how clean everything is.”

Silverhorn Creek Campground

Address: Banff National Park Of Canada, AB-93, Lake Louise, AB T0L 1E0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“Quiet campground with amazing panoramic views. Paved roads with gravel sites. Some sites can be close together. We stayed in site 13 and liked being back there. You can hear the highway if camped near the front. Pit toilets only, no water on site at all. Must fill up and dump at Waterfowl Lakes (2km away). About 30 min from Lake Louise village which is the nearest gas and food. We preferred this site over the lake Louise campground, which was terrible imo.”

Belly River Campground

“A nice wood pile. A beautiful river. Quiet spots. Alberta has many gorgeous gems to travel and explore. Tourism to Alberta campgrounds ⛺️ flourishes in the summer time. 🌞 🏡 Always is nice to go home to wake up in your own 🛌 bed after though! ✨ 🔥 ✨”

Cynthia RV Park & Campground

Address: 4834 53 Ave, Cynthia, AB T0E 0K0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“What a lovely camping spot! We booked this site after being cancelled on by another campsite (weather issues) This campground is nestled away in the bush, so it’s lovely and peaceful and everyone who was staying here were all so friendly. The campsite is very well maintained. They offer full service hook ups but you are sharing your water and power hookup with your neighbour (if you have one) which was not a problem to us. Our neighbours weren’t happy that they had to use 15amps and we had the 30amps (we arrived first and we’re all set up before they arrived) We did have to wait for the owner to bring us and the neighbours an attachment to have both water lines hooked up, so we were delayed in getting the water lines going, But other than that it was great! The sites were a little smaller that what I was expecting but they were manageable and there’s not really any fire pits (what I would call a fire put anyway) but they have small rock pits on each site that you can have a small fire in. I love the name of the bar ‘Cyn City Saloon’ lots of work went into building this as well as the rest of the site. The owner I believe lives on site and would have a drive around on his quad to see how everyone was doing and if we needed anything which I thought was lovely but he never bothered us at all and was super friendly. They have lots of hidden trails that I took my pup on and again these are well maintained too! If you have checked this place out, you really should :)”

“Recently passing through Castor on our travels and decided to stay the night at the Castor Recreation Campground. We took site#10 - great spot, sheltered on east side with tall spruce trees. We utilized both the water and electric hookups for $25/night. We were directly across from golf course and ball diamonds. It was quiet, last golfers came in by 9:30 pm. A ball game started at 8:30 the following morning with players arriving around 8am. While players parked around area and campgrounds they were cognizant of campers and left enough room for us that were leaving early. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this campground. Ps: Castor is a clean, well kept small town...I think it would be a great place to live.”

Fox Lake Campground

Address: 31267 Range Road 145A 3 km west of, Hanna, AB T0J 1P0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“While this isn't like a destination campground (mostly used for stops along the way or people staying the summer to work) this little campground offers a lot! First of all the manager is so lovely, and helpful. She pulled out a bag of newly thrifted toys for my sons to use at the playground, a really nice extra touch. The sites are decent size, the showers are super clean, there are multiple playgrounds (the main ones in the middle of the big loop so your kids can play) and the property is clean and well maintained, and its very quiet. Also, the $/stick firewood price is better here then in the provincial parks. The view of the lake is great too. If you're looking for a short stop travelling through Hanna this is definitely the best choice.”

Rolling Hills Reservoir Campground

Address: AB-873, Rainier, AB T0J 2Z0, Canada

“What a GEM. This campground is well managed. They have strict speed rules for a good reason. The facility is very clean. Even the non flush outhouses are fantastically clean. Concerns are dealt with quickly. The fishing is great from shore or on a boat. You can't keep pike or walleye. Overall great place. Enjoyed the experience.”

“Welp, nicest campground in brooks area... working nightshift? Bring ear plugs cause this guy loves his grass, oh and dont park on the grass... he wont hesitate too wake you up to move your vehicle. Super nice staff very friendly.... as long as you don't go over the speedlimit, and/or park on the grass. The lady I talked too was very nice, I believe she is the owner. Great place for families, playground needs some TLC... BYOS - Bring Your Own Swing. Definitely would stay here again. Thanks guys.”
