15 to 20 minutes rough road drive. Overflow parking during busy days.
This campground’s best feature are the water falls. At summer’s peak it offers relatively warm water to jump in. It does get busy with nearby residents though. The campground itself offers 3 loops, one being more sun exposed (sites 38-46). The few kilometres gravel road connecting the paved road to the campground entrance gets very dry and dusty. Overall a nice campground.
This place is amazing. I wish I had my swimsuit with us. It is just about 50m away from the parking area. It's at least 6km of gravel from the main road.
Wonderful place for a picnic. the falls are small but the stream after them is a great place for a swim, there are rocks to jump from that end in deep pools. great way too cool down and have a great time.
Beautiful area...but busy on the weekends which can lead to louder visiters at the falls..
Would be nice if Fish and Wildlife would visit more often to stop people from poaching the native fish from the river and using illegal bait. Saw this over and over a fair amount in the 2 weeks we stayed there. Guidelines should be posted.
